Bob Mitchell's Fly Shop, the "Twin Cities' Original Fly Shop" needed a website to match the earthy charm of the small shop, and highlight the shop's focus on trout.
The look of the site is decidedly subdued, from the earthy green and tan colors, to the simple navigation system, and space on the homepage for proprieter Mike Alwin to write whatever's on his mind.
This design came about only after gaining a clear understanding of what the shop is about, it's history and what makes it unique, and Mike's philosophies, goals and objectives for the shop.
The site needed to be simple enough for Mike to update text himself - on the homepage, the stream reports, and the classes and seminars pages.
I also shot all the photos of the shop used throughout the site.
